The Jacobin Pigeon is a kind of fancy pigeon which is developed over many more years of selective breeding. Rock Pigeons or Columba livia are the fore father or ancestor of Jacobins Pigeon along with other varieties of domesticated pigeons. The kind of this pigeon is better known for its feathered hood over its head. The Jacobin Pigeon is a bird with regal look that which like it has been wrapped in a frilly feathered head scarf. Jacobins has a 5 to 6 inch hood of long feathers starts at the shoulders and stands taller than the head which hides the head completely that from the back view. This hood has a certain center and it circles towards the head. From the front view the hood should encase the head tightly. With long wings they are tall.
